If you choose to freeze your order, this is to be consumed within 3 months of delivery.
If you place your order in the fridge, please ensure all is consumed within 2 days of arrival.
We do not recommend the freezing of eels – on arrival please remove the lid and place these in your fridge. (removing of lid ensures freshness) Please consume within 2 days of arrival.
Cooking frozen foods: defrost overnight in a fridge before following our cooking instructions.
Pies
For best results: Preheat your oven to 180°C, place pies in their foils tray in the oven for 10-12 minutes. If you prefer your pies not to crisp/darken on the top, you can cover them in tinfoil.
On removing the pies from the oven ensure they are heated thoroughly all the way through. If you prefer a crisped top you can leave in the oven for additional minutes.
Alternatively Microwave: Remove metal foil tray, place pie upside down on a plate for 2.5 minutes, check the pie and if needed put back in for an additional 30 seconds.
Mash
Your mash can be reheated in a saucepan on the hob and stir until heated through. You can add butter/milk if you like, however we do not use this in our shops.
Alternatively, you can pop it in the microwave for 2 minutes in a microwavable container. Stir once finished, check and, if needed, put back in for an additional minute.
Liquor
Once chilled / defrosted, your liquor will have become thick and ‘custardy’.
Don't panic!
Once reheated, the liquor naturally thin out. If you prefer it thinner once hot, boil the kettle and slowly add in boiling water while stirring until it reaches your desired consistency.
Saucepan: you can reheat you liquor on the hob continuously stirring on a low heat until heated through. Please make sure not to boil your liquor as this will cause it to separate.
Microwave: place your liquor in a microwaveable container for 2 minutes, remove and stir. Place the liquor back in the microwave for an additional 30 seconds.
